Role at a Glance

You'll own 3–5 live enterprise deployments simultaneously on Omnea's AI-native procurement platform. The work divides into three muscle groups: specifying what a customer's process actually requires, directing AI agents to produce a working first draft, and applying the human judgment that decides whether that output is correct for this contract, this Board, this customer. Early-team hire. Success is measured by time-to-launch and post-go-live satisfaction. London, hybrid (Tue–Thu in-person). Salary not published by employer.

What This Role Is Actually About

Enterprise procurement deployments used to mean weeks of manual configuration — workflow by workflow, edge case by edge case. AI is compressing that build phase. As Omnea's AI Solutions Lead, your job is to specify precisely what a customer's approval policies and process require, direct AI agents to produce a working first draft, and then supply the judgment those agents cannot: does this chain satisfy the delegation-of-authority rules in the APAC entity? Will Legal actually sign off on it once live spend flows through? You are the internal advocate for each customer, accountable for platform success in production — not just at launch — and for turning that success into a reference story.

About Omnea

Omnea is building AI-native infrastructure for enterprise procurement — a category notorious for slow approvals, fragmented stakeholders, and opaque spend. The company has raised $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel, and has multiplied its annual recurring revenue tenfold in under two years. Recognizable global brands across fintech, retail, and technology trust the platform. Omnea has been ranked among Europe's four fastest-growing startups and recognized by the Sunday Times as a top medium-sized tech employer. The founding team previously scaled a venture-backed cybersecurity company through a post-Series C acquisition. The London office operates on a structured three-day-a-week in-person schedule.

What You'll Own Day-to-Day

  • Run structured discovery with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT stakeholders to translate real business processes into a platform configuration — not just gather requirements
  • Design end-to-end workflow architecture for each deployment: approval chains, routing logic, integration sequencing, and the edge cases that make procurement genuinely hard
  • On deployments spanning a dozen or more integrations, determine which system acts as source of truth per entity and resolve reconciliation conflicts when two systems key the same record differently
  • Establish measurable go-live criteria and a realistic delivery path with each customer's project sponsor
  • Configure specialized Omnea agents — intake, risk flagging, approval routing — that customer teams rely on every day, not just prototypes
  • Design multi-agent chains in which one agent's structured output becomes the next agent's input; write specs that hold up across the full chain, not just for isolated agents
  • Validate every AI-generated configuration against the customer's actual policies, approval hierarchies, and compliance requirements before anything ships
  • Handle what AI cannot: judgment calls on ambiguous requirements, custom logic, and any configuration decision that turns on reading internal politics
  • Present configured workflows to audiences from procurement analysts to CFOs; work through real objections and win alignment across competing stakeholder priorities
  • Lead multi-day onsite workshops coordinating dozens of stakeholders across multiple concurrent workstreams — a different skill than a single stakeholder meeting
  • Project-manage each deployment: timelines, blockers, stakeholder alignment, and the clear path from configuration to live production traffic
  • Track adoption after go-live and keep configurations current as customer processes evolve
  • Surface early product signals to Engineering and Product during the design phase — before field issues emerge — shaping what gets prioritized next

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 4–8 years in a high-bar environment: startup, scale-up, consulting, investment banking, or an equivalent fast-moving setting where standards were genuinely high
  • Demonstrated ability to direct AI tools and the judgment to catch when the output is wrong for the specific context — assessed on output quality, not on which tool you've used
  • Proven client-facing capability: you can point to a concrete situation where you went substantially beyond what a client expected
  • Comfortable reasoning about system architecture — data models, primary keys, integration sequencing across enterprise systems — without needing to write the integration code yourself
  • Experience managing stakeholders across seniority levels simultaneously: CPO, CFO, Legal, InfoSec, Compliance, AP — often with competing priorities on the same decision
  • Ability to hold full context across 3–5 active enterprise deployments at different stages without letting any slip
  • Clear, concise communicator — written and verbal — even when the underlying subject is technically or organizationally complex
  • High ownership orientation and entrepreneurial mindset; this is an early hire expected to help define the role's future scope

Helpful But Not Required

  • Explicit prior use of AI productivity or coding tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar — noted in your application
  • Background in a high-growth scale-up technology company specifically, rather than a fast-paced environment generally
  • Documented track record of exceptional performance outside work — academia, competitive sport, or any domain where you sustained high-standard execution over time

Skills Map: Required vs. Advantageous

Three distinct skill clusters are all required here, not optional: enterprise consulting (stakeholder discovery, deployment project management, executive communication), AI tooling (writing precise multi-agent specs, chaining agent outputs, evaluating AI-generated configurations against real policy), and systems reasoning (understanding how data flows across integrations and where it breaks — without writing the code). Procurement domain knowledge is teachable and not listed as a prerequisite. AI tool proficiency is judged on the quality of instructions you write and your ability to critique what comes back, not on which specific tool appears on your CV.

Salary & Compensation

Omnea has not published a salary figure for this posting. The company states that compensation is competitive and geo-localized for the UK market, with a dedicated UK benefits package. No salary estimate is provided here — doing so would be fabrication. Candidates should raise compensation expectations directly with the recruiting team during screening. The role is described as an early hire, which typically carries equity upside in venture-backed companies of this stage, though no equity details are confirmed in the posting.

Benefits

  • Competitive UK geo-localized benefits package (full details available via Omnea's employer benefits page)
  • Structured hybrid schedule — in-person Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote on remaining days
  • Early-team customer hire with direct access to sales, product, and engineering leadership
  • Opportunity to define the future shape of the role as the customer team grows
  • Participation in Omnea's Future Founder programme — an internal initiative supporting entrepreneurial ambition within the team

Location & How You'll Work

This role is based in London. Omnea runs a structured hybrid model: the full team works from the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the remaining days remote. Travel to customer sites for multi-day onsite workshops is a regular part of the job — some weeks will exceed the standard three-day in-person schedule. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK. No relocation support is mentioned in the posting.

Frequently asked questions

How many client deployments will I be managing at the same time?

The role is explicitly structured around running 3–5 enterprise deployments concurrently, each at a different stage. Holding full context across all of them without any falling behind is listed as a core requirement, not an occasional demand.

What does the hybrid working arrangement actually look like week to week?

The standard schedule is in the London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the other days remote. However, the role involves regular travel to customer sites for multi-day onsite workshops, so certain weeks will have more in-person time than the baseline three days.

Do I need procurement industry experience to be considered?

No. Omnea does not list procurement domain knowledge as a hard requirement and expects to train the right candidate on the platform. The non-negotiable requirements are consulting or client delivery experience, the ability to reason about enterprise system architecture, and demonstrated competence directing and critically evaluating AI tool outputs.
