Role at a Glance
Ouihelp is hiring home care assistants (H/F) for elderly clients in Le Cannet on a permanent CDI mandataire basis. Hourly pay is €14.60–€15.40 depending on your classification (AVS or ADV). Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. A recognized diploma or a minimum of 18 months' care experience is required. A driver's license is not mandatory.
What This Role Involves
As a home care assistant at Ouihelp, your working hours are spent supporting elderly individuals directly in their own homes — helping with personal care, everyday tasks, mobility, and companionship. The role operates under a CDI mandataire framework, meaning Ouihelp manages coordination while your de facto employer is the person receiving care. Schedules are designed around your availability and stay consistent from one week to the next, with the same clients throughout, so you can build genuine, ongoing relationships.
About Ouihelp
Ouihelp is a fast-growing French home-care company that has built a nationwide network of more than 2,500 auxiliaires de vie. Its model pairs qualified carers with elderly clients while taking on the scheduling, coordination, and administrative load that typically burdens care workers. The company prioritises carer wellbeing alongside client outcomes: it clusters visit schedules to cut unnecessary travel, assigns each carer a dedicated point of contact, and provides digital tools to reduce day-to-day paperwork. Its regional hub is at the Regus-E Space Park in Mougins (06250), serving the greater Cannes area including Le Cannet.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support elderly clients with personal care tasks and activities of daily living, from hygiene and meal preparation to mobility assistance
- Provide regular companionship and social engagement to help reduce isolation
- Complete care missions of at least one hour each, structured to limit unproductive travel time
- Maintain stable, long-term relationships with the same clients and their families
- Use Ouihelp's digital platform to log care activities and manage administrative requirements
- Participate in a personalized onboarding and check in regularly with your assigned referent
Must-Have Requirements
- A recognized diploma in personal care or home assistance
- OR: at least 3 years of professional experience in personal care/home assistance without a diploma
- OR: at least 18 months of experience AND enrollment in Ouihelp's paid internal training program, which runs during your onboarding period
- Genuine motivation to work with elderly people in their home environment
- Reliability and commitment to maintaining a consistent weekly schedule
Advantageous but Not Required
- Driver's license (Permis B) — useful for some client locations but explicitly not mandatory
- Availability for night shifts or Sunday assignments, which attract supplementary pay rates
- Prior experience sustaining long-term relationships with the same care recipients
Skills That Matter for This Role
The core competencies here are interpersonal rather than technical. Empathy, patience, and the hands-on ability to support personal care safely are the non-negotiable must-haves. Administrative and digital literacy matter too, but Ouihelp's onboarding covers its own platform. This position is accessible at the junior level — 18 months of experience combined with Ouihelp's paid internal training gets you in — and equally welcomes experienced auxiliaires de vie holding a recognized diploma, who qualify for the ADV classification and the upper end of the hourly pay band.
Pay and Financial Benefits
The advertised hourly range is €14.60–€15.40 gross, with your exact rate determined by whether you qualify under the AVS (auxiliaire de vie sociale) or ADV (assistant de vie) classification in Ouihelp's scale. On top of base pay, the role carries attractive supplementary rates for night and Sunday shifts, travel expense reimbursements, and per-kilometre indemnities to offset the cost of getting to clients. Ouihelp also operates a salary-on-demand scheme that lets you draw up to 50% of accrued earnings at any point during the month, giving you real flexibility over your cash flow.
Additional Benefits
- Night and Sunday shift premium pay rates
- Salary on demand: access up to 50% of earned pay at any time during the month
- Performance bonuses and employee discount schemes
- Travel expense reimbursement plus per-kilometre indemnity
- Employer-contribution health insurance (mutuelle santé)
- Structured continuing professional development program with clear career progression paths
- Personalized onboarding with a named referent available for all questions
- Stable weekly schedule with no mission shorter than one hour
