Fully remote commercial sales role at GitLab covering the Middle East (KSA and UAE). You'll own a mid-market book of business — organizations up to 4,000 employees — across the complete sales cycle from prospecting through close. Bilingual Arabic and English fluency is a hard requirement. Salary is not disclosed in this posting. GitLab welcomes applications from candidates across a range of experience levels.

What This Role Is About

This position sits at the center of GitLab's commercial growth across the Middle East. You'll act as the primary sales point of contact for mid-market organizations in the MENA region, helping them adopt and expand their use of GitLab's integrated DevSecOps platform. Working fully remotely and asynchronously within a distributed global sales team, you'll run complete sales cycles — from initial discovery through negotiation and close — while coordinating with technical pre-sales, marketing, and customer success teams. The role reports to a Regional Sales Director and balances net-new prospecting with expansion inside existing accounts.

About GitLab

GitLab offers a single, unified platform that covers the entire software development lifecycle — from source control and CI/CD through security scanning, compliance management, and deployment. The platform serves more than 50 million registered users, with adoption across more than half of the Fortune 100. GitLab is a fully remote-first company that has embedded AI tooling directly into its internal workflows, expecting every team member to use AI as a standard productivity layer. Its culture emphasizes transparency, asynchronous collaboration, and continuous knowledge-sharing across a globally distributed workforce.

What You'll Do

  • Own a regional mid-market book of business across the MENA territory, balancing net-new prospecting with growth inside existing accounts
  • Lead prospects through the complete sales cycle — needs discovery, solution alignment, commercial negotiation, and contract close
  • Clearly communicate GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition in terms of concrete business outcomes relevant to each customer's priorities
  • Maintain accurate, evidence-based pipeline records by documenting buying criteria, decision processes, key stakeholders, and agreed next steps
  • Participate in structured win/loss reviews and translate findings into actionable insights for account managers, marketing, and technical teams
  • Contribute documented best practices and process refinements to GitLab's internal sales handbook
  • Coordinate across pre-sales engineering and post-sales customer success to deliver a coherent, well-supported account experience
  • Channel customer product feedback and ideas through GitLab's public issue tracker, acting as an internal advocate for the accounts you serve

What You Must Bring

  • Demonstrated track record of quota attainment in software or SaaS sales across a mixed portfolio of deal sizes
  • Ability to map and navigate complex buying journeys, including multi-stakeholder alignment, procurement timelines, and defined next-step ownership
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills for working alongside business development, marketing, and solutions engineering teams
  • Disciplined pipeline hygiene: experience building and maintaining evidence-based account plans and opportunity records
  • Experience participating in win/loss retrospectives and converting findings into process or messaging improvements
  • Proficiency in commercial negotiation, executive-level presentations, and facilitating deals through to close
  • Familiarity with Git, DevOps tooling, or application lifecycle management concepts
  • Full professional fluency in both Arabic and English

Skills Breakdown: Must-Have vs. Context

Every skill listed in this posting is a genuine requirement — GitLab has not specified any explicit nice-to-haves for this role. The non-negotiable floor is bilingual Arabic and English fluency; without it, the MENA territory cannot be covered. On the commercial side, pipeline discipline and full-cycle sales experience are core expectations, not aspirational stretch goals. The technical bar is intentionally accessible: working familiarity with Git and DevOps concepts is sufficient — deep engineering expertise is not required. Candidates coming from SaaS or enterprise software backgrounds will find the product context straightforward to get up to speed on.

Compensation & Salary

GitLab has not published a salary range or OTE target for this role. No figure should be inferred from this listing. The company does include equity compensation and an employee stock purchase plan as part of its standard package, both of which can contribute meaningfully to total compensation depending on tenure and performance. A growth and development fund is also available. Candidates who want specifics on base salary, commission structure, or total OTE should raise the question directly with GitLab's recruiting team during the initial screening call.

Location & How You'll Work

This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Saudi Arabia (KSA) or the United Arab Emirates (UAE). GitLab operates on a remote-first model globally, with teams collaborating asynchronously across time zones — no in-office requirement exists. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship eligibility are not addressed in this posting; candidates currently located outside KSA or UAE should confirm location requirements with GitLab's talent acquisition team before applying.
