Role at a Glance

Fully remote Lifecycle Email Marketing Manager for a dual-brand US real estate and coaching firm. Own ActiveCampaign end-to-end, build investor-nurture sequences, protect inbox deliverability across multiple domains, and route event leads into the CRM. Salary: USD $1,800–$2,500/month. Up to two US travel trips per year required. Five-plus years of ESP ownership is a hard requirement.

About the Role

This position is the operational backbone of all email and SMS marketing across two distinct brands. You will not inherit polished playbooks — you will build and maintain them. That means managing ActiveCampaign automations daily, holding deliverability at 35%+ open rates across several sending domains, and ensuring every investor or event attendee lands in the correct nurture sequence without delay. If you test every flow exhaustively before it sends and document logic so anyone can follow it, this role is structured around your working style.

About the Company

The hiring organization is a US-based investment firm with more than three decades of continuous real estate operations. It has closed over $3.5 billion in transactions and acquired more than 14,600 apartment units, primarily targeting older multifamily communities and generating value through operational improvements and physical upgrades. Alongside its SEC-regulated investment fund, the company operates a separate family-focused coaching and publishing brand. Both brands share one marketing infrastructure, so this role serves two distinct audiences — investors and coaching clients — under a single operational umbrella.

What You'll Own

  • Run ActiveCampaign as the sole owner: configure and maintain subscriber lists, audience segments, CRM tags, automation workflows, webhook integrations, and all outbound email and SMS sends.
  • Architect nurture and lifecycle sequences — including post-capital investor drip campaigns and webinar or event confirmation flows — and keep the tag-to-sequence logic fully documented so it can be audited or handed off at any time.
  • Maintain inbox placement across multiple sending domains by owning SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration, running warmup programs through tools such as Inbox Ally, and diagnosing deliverability problems before they affect live campaigns.
  • Manage the lead-capture pipeline end-to-end: configure and QA NFC digital-card systems before each event, verify consent checkboxes meet compliance requirements, route new leads into the CRM and the appropriate sequences, review inbound leads daily, and define territory-routing logic for the development team to implement.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in email marketing, marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, or CRM management — including direct ownership of an ESP such as ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or Marketo.
  • Deliverability expertise: you configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records, manage DNS, run inbox warmup programs, and can diagnose and resolve spam-placement issues.
  • Proven automation builder: you design, launch, and maintain drip, nurture, and behavioral email sequences with clean, documented, maintainable tag logic.
  • Lead-capture and routing ownership: forms, consent and compliance fields, event-based capture, territory routing rules, and ongoing CRM hygiene.
  • Strong written and spoken English, plus a reliable home-office setup for full-time remote work.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel to the United States up to twice per year, approximately one week per trip.
  • Working knowledge of Zoom and Calendly for event-registration and transaction-based email flows.
  • Ownership mindset: you initiate status updates proactively, test exhaustively before anything ships, and operate independently without step-by-step direction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with regulated or financial-services email programs, including TCPA-compliant SMS opt-ins, disclosure language, and suppression management.
  • ActiveCampaign or HubSpot certification, or deep fluency in both — particularly experience managing a migration between the two platforms.
  • Hands-on use of deliverability tooling such as Inbox Ally, Google Postmaster, or seed-list testing services.
  • Prior work with event-field lead-capture systems: NFC cards, Whova, or similar registration platforms.
  • Experience administering an SMS platform such as SalesMsg.
  • A track record of building AI-assisted lifecycle or segmentation workflows.
  • Background in high-volume B2C, membership, or investor-audience email programs.
  • A detail-first working style — the instinct to catch a broken merge tag before it reaches thousands of recipients.

Skills Breakdown: Required vs. Preferred

The make-or-break skill here is email deliverability — managing authentication records, warmup campaigns, and inbox placement is explicitly described as the foundation everything else depends on. ESP ownership (ActiveCampaign primary) and multi-step automation-building are non-negotiable from day one. Preferred qualifications cluster around regulated-industry compliance, cross-platform migrations, AI-augmented workflows, and event lead-capture experience. At five-plus years of required experience with full cross-brand ownership and no mention of direct reports, this is a senior individual-contributor position — an operator, not a coordinator.

Compensation & Working Hours

The employer has published a monthly base rate of USD $1,800 to $2,500, scaled for experience and location. Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time, representing a standard 40-hour week. No benefits, equity, bonus structure, or health coverage are referenced anywhere in the job posting. Candidates should also factor in the two annual travel requirements — trips to the United States of approximately one week each — when evaluating total commitment. The first trip is tentatively scheduled for August 31 through September 3.

Location & Remote Setup

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Colombia. Working hours align to US Pacific Time (9:00 am – 5:00 pm PST, Monday–Friday). A valid passport and availability for up to two US visits per year are required. No visa sponsorship information is provided in the listing. Candidates are expected to supply their own reliable remote-work equipment and internet connection.

Frequently asked questions

Is this position fully remote, or will I need to work on-site?

The role is fully remote and is open to candidates based in Colombia. However, a valid passport is required, and the position expects up to two trips to the United States per year, each lasting approximately one week. The first trip is scheduled for August 31 through September 3.

Which email platform will I be managing day to day?

ActiveCampaign is the primary ESP and you will own it completely — lists, segments, automations, CRM tagging, webhooks, and sends. Familiarity with HubSpot is a preferred qualification, especially if you have experience running or migrating between both platforms.

What does owning deliverability actually involve in this role?

You are accountable for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication across multiple sending domains, DNS setup, inbox warmup campaigns using tools such as Inbox Ally, and diagnosing why mail lands in spam rather than the inbox. The stated performance benchmark is open rates exceeding 35%.

What is the monthly compensation for this position?

The employer has listed a monthly salary range of USD $1,800 to $2,500, adjusted based on experience and location. No additional benefits, bonuses, or equity are mentioned in the job description.

Does the role involve SMS campaigns in addition to email?

Yes. You will own and run SMS and text campaigns alongside email as part of the same marketing engine. Preferred candidates have experience with text-based messaging platforms such as SalesMsg and are familiar with TCPA-style opt-in compliance and suppression management.
