Role at a Glance

Mid-level logistics position coordinating APAC import and export shipments for ALO, a global activewear brand, based out of Hong Kong. You'll own day-to-day carrier and 3PL performance monitoring, cross-functional shipment tracking, and freight cost support. Requires 3+ years in supply chain or freight, bilingual Cantonese and English fluency, and hands-on BI tool experience.

About the Role

As a Logistics Specialist at ALO, you'll serve as a key operational link in the company's APAC supply chain. Your daily scope spans managing inbound and outbound freight from manufacturing partners through to distribution points across the region, monitoring carrier commitments, flagging exceptions before they become delays, and producing performance data that keeps internal stakeholders aligned. You'll work across teams—Planning, Operations, Distribution, and Customer Service—while interfacing with external logistics partners and supporting cost-control and continuous-improvement efforts directed by logistics leadership.

About ALO

ALO is a lifestyle and activewear brand built around the principle of mindful movement—creating apparel and experiences designed to carry the discipline of a studio or yoga practice into everyday life. Their 'studio-to-street' ethos emphasises bringing awareness from on-mat practice into the broader world. With operations spanning multiple global markets, ALO maintains a significant regional footprint in APAC, where this logistics role sits at the intersection of product sourcing, regional distribution, and end-customer fulfilment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage daily cross-border shipments across APAC—from production facilities to ALO's designated distribution and retail destinations
  • Monitor live shipment status and intervene proactively when delays or transportation issues arise
  • Use BI and analytics platforms to assess carrier and logistics service provider performance against agreed service benchmarks
  • Produce recurring logistics reports and performance summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Planning, Operations, Distribution, and Customer Service teams to maintain uninterrupted product flow
  • Verify freight invoices and contribute to cost-reduction and logistics budget activities
  • Identify and document opportunities to improve processes, service levels, and operational workflows
  • Contribute to logistics initiatives and ad-hoc projects assigned by the Logistics Manager or Director

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a closely related discipline
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight operations
  • Working knowledge of import/export processes and associated shipping documentation
  • Practical experience managing or collaborating with carriers, freight forwarders, or third-party logistics providers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
  • Bilingual in Cantonese and English (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational capability and a structured approach to problem-solving

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or comparable business intelligence platforms
  • Working knowledge of ERP, TMS, or dedicated logistics management systems
  • Inbound logistics experience covering China, Korea, or Australia trade lanes
  • Background in retail, apparel, consumer goods, or related product industries
  • Conversational or professional Mandarin

Skills at a Glance

The non-negotiable technical floor is Excel proficiency and practical import/export documentation knowledge—both are day-one requirements. BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power Query) sit in the strong-preference tier: clearly valued for carrier performance reporting, but the JD signals 'familiarity' rather than expert-level mastery. ERP and TMS exposure plus specific trade-lane knowledge across China, Korea, or Australia rounds out the preferred stack. At mid-level, the role rewards structured problem-solvers who communicate clearly across both logistics partners and internal cross-functional teams.
