Role at a Glance
Feathr is hiring a Manager of Managed Services to lead 10–15 Campaign Managers and Strategists who execute marketing campaigns for 1,300+ nonprofit clients. Fully remote, US-based, reporting to Services leadership. Scope spans people development, operational systems design, and final-authority client escalation. Compensation: $90,000 base salary plus a performance bonus of up to $15,000 annually.
What This Role Is About
Feathr's Managed Services division operates as an in-house agency—conceiving, building, and running digital marketing campaigns on behalf of nonprofit clients. It's the part of the business where customers experience the platform's full value most directly, making this team a primary lever for both retention and growth. The incoming manager will guide the team through a deliberate expansion phase: coaching specialists into consultative client partners, constructing the operational infrastructure that lets quality scale without friction, and serving as the authoritative voice when high-stakes client situations escalate beyond the team.
About Feathr
Feathr develops marketing software purpose-built for mission-driven organizations. More than 1,300 nonprofits rely on the platform to organize outreach, deepen community engagement, and run campaigns with measurably better outcomes. The company is headquartered in Gainesville, FL, but operates as a fully distributed team. Feathr's stated culture centers on candor, practical progress over perfection, and a genuine orientation toward service—values the team shorthand as 'helping the helpers,' a framing that reflects the structural reality: Feathr's own success is tied directly to the outcomes of the nonprofits it serves.
What You'll Own
- Directly manage, develop, and mentor a team of 10–15 Campaign Managers and Strategists through consistent coaching and structured career development conversations
- Conduct ongoing reviews of client calls and written communications, delivering targeted feedback on account management quality, objection handling, and campaign execution
- Own bi-annual performance reviews, individual growth plans, performance improvement processes when required, and the full interviewing and onboarding cycle for new hires
- Architect, document, and deploy new operational workflows with a focus on high team adoption and minimal disruption to active client work
- Establish and track KPIs for service delivery quality; build capacity models that support sustainable headcount growth without eroding output standards
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and other internal teams to pilot new features, service strategies, and workflow improvements
- Serve as the primary escalation contact for critical client situations, with direct authority to approve concessions or custom solutions
- Act as the team's internal platform expert—troubleshoot Feathr-related issues and translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible guidance for non-technical nonprofit clients
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4+ years managing direct reports, with strong preference for experience leading teams of 8 or more individual contributors
- 2+ years in a client-facing service delivery function—account management, client services, campaign management, or agency operations
- Professional background in Marketing Technology (MarTech), SaaS, or a digital marketing agency environment
- Demonstrated track record of designing new operational processes and driving measurable team adoption
- Direct experience owning high-stakes customer escalations, including authority over custom solutions or exception approvals
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience managing client marketing campaigns at a digital marketing agency
- Familiarity with nonprofit, higher education, or professional association sectors
Skills Breakdown: Must-Have vs. Nice-to-Have
The core skill set sits at the intersection of people leadership and operational systems design. Required capabilities include managing multi-person contributor teams (8+), owning client-facing delivery operations, and working fluently inside a MarTech or SaaS environment. Feathr explicitly frames successful workflow rollouts as 80% change management—candidates who have led process transformations in fast-changing or resistant teams will stand out. Sector familiarity (nonprofits, associations, higher education) and agency campaign experience are genuine accelerators for ramping quickly, but are not screening requirements for an otherwise strong generalist manager.

Beyond headline pay, the role includes a Home Office Stipend and a Professional Development Budget, both of which carry tangible monetary value.
