What You Will Be Doing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians on the floor, supporting the pharmacy manager in maintaining a clean, efficient workflow
- Audit data entered by staff processing inbound provider orders and prescription transfers, catching errors before they advance in the queue
- Ensure patient records containing protected health information are handled and disposed of in full compliance with privacy requirements
- Own the prescription transfer process end-to-end — from initial receipt through completion, coordinating handoffs to minimize delays
- Perform pharmacist-level verification on completed fills in a high-volume setting, confirming the correct drug, dose, quantity, and labeling before any prescription is released
- Clinically evaluate new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, potential drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing correctness
- Provide phone-based counseling to patients on new medications, refill schedules, side-effect management, adherence habits, and proper usage
- Contact prescribing offices proactively to resolve clinical ambiguities or paperwork gaps that could hold up a fill
- Operate in full compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations and all internal company policies
- Collaborate across pharmacy leadership, technician staff, and corporate operations teams to support shared goals
What You Must Bring
- PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy License, in good standing with the PA State Board of Pharmacy
