Role at a Glance

n8n is hiring an SDR Team Lead to anchor its EMEA outbound enterprise motion from London. You will directly manage six SDRs, own the regional hiring pipeline, and run structured day-to-day coaching across qualification, messaging, and objection handling. Close partnership with Enterprise AEs is central to the role. Arrangement: hybrid, three days per week in the London office. Salary figure not disclosed publicly; equity confirmed as part of the package.

What This Role Is Actually About

This is a frontline leadership position that leans heavily toward hands-on coaching rather than pure team oversight. n8n's EMEA enterprise sales motion is actively scaling, and this hire exists to provide it with local leadership, a repeatable outbound playbook, and daily execution quality. Expect significant time in call reviews, structured enablement sessions, and one-on-one development conversations with individual reps — alongside the operational layer of hiring, pipeline metric tracking, and cross-functional alignment with GTM leadership in London and across EMEA.

About n8n

n8n is an open-source workflow automation platform designed for technical teams that want the control of custom code without the overhead of building everything from scratch. Founded in Berlin in 2019, the company has grown to more than 260 employees across Europe and the US. Its developer community now exceeds 650,000 active builders, and the project has accumulated over 190,000 GitHub stars — placing it among the 40 most-starred open-source repositories globally. Investor backing includes Sequoia, which led the company's first German seed round, and SAP, whose recent strategic investment brought n8n's valuation to $5.2 billion.

What You Will Own

  • Directly manage and develop a team of six outbound SDRs focused on enterprise pipeline generation across the EMEA region
  • Own the full SDR hiring cycle — sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and ramping new team members as the regional team expands
  • Establish a high-accountability team culture grounded in preparation, discipline, and iterative performance improvement
  • Shape outbound prospecting strategies for enterprise accounts, with particular focus on engaging senior technical decision-makers
  • Coordinate with Enterprise AEs to align SDR outreach with territory coverage plans and account priorities
  • Analyze pipeline contribution data — activity volumes, conversion rates, and deal quality — to surface coaching opportunities and close process gaps
  • Deliver structured enablement sessions covering prospect qualification frameworks, cold outreach messaging, objection handling, and live role plays
  • Build the team's credibility and confidence when navigating complex conversations with senior technical stakeholders
  • Drive consistent adoption of Salesforce, Outreach, and prospecting platforms to shorten ramp cycles and improve execution quality
  • Serve as the cross-functional connector between the SDR team and partners in RevOps, People, Marketing, and EMEA sales leadership
  • Produce structured performance reports covering pipeline contribution, team metrics, open headcount status, and individual ramp trajectories
  • Coordinate SDR involvement in EMEA marketing events, regional outbound campaigns, and post-event follow-up sequences

Must-Have Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years of direct SDR or BDR team management experience, preferably within an outbound enterprise sales motion
  • B2B SaaS background with solid command of funnel metrics, pipeline math, and what genuinely constitutes a qualified opportunity
  • Demonstrated track record of driving pipeline through structured, outbound sales development programs
  • Ability to develop SDR performance through deliberate enablement: regular one-on-one feedback, recorded call reviews, and structured role-play sessions
  • Strong interpersonal range — effective at coaching and developing junior reps while remaining credible when engaging senior internal or external stakeholders
  • Working fluency in enterprise sales fundamentals: prospecting methodology, qualification criteria, and building relevance with VP-level and above buyers
  • Hands-on experience running Salesforce, Outreach, and at least one prospecting data platform day-to-day
  • Must be London-based with the ability to commit to three in-office days per week — this location requirement is a firm condition of the role

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Prior exposure to selling into developer, DevOps, or technical architecture personas — or a genuine, demonstrable interest in automation, AI, or open-source tooling
  • Active working use of AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, or prospecting platforms like Apollo, to improve outreach research and personalization workflows
  • Track record of collaborating across functions — with AEs, RevOps, People, or Marketing — on shared pipeline initiatives, hiring projects, events, or cross-functional reporting

Skills That Matter for This Role

The non-negotiable technical toolkit is Salesforce plus Outreach plus a prospecting data platform — these are hard requirements, not preferences. Equally non-negotiable is a structured coaching methodology: n8n expects documented, deliberate enablement rather than informal feedback loops. On the nice-to-have side, comfort with AI productivity tools and familiarity with technical buyer personas will meaningfully accelerate your effectiveness, since n8n's customers are primarily developers and technical architects. This is designed as an early-leadership role — prior management reps are required, but you do not need extensive headcount experience to be competitive here.

Compensation and Equity

n8n has not disclosed a specific salary range for this role. The listing describes pay as competitive, which is not a verifiable number — candidates should raise their target compensation directly with the hiring team during the interview process. What is confirmed: the role includes equity in n8n, most recently valued at $5.2 billion. European employees also receive pension contributions aligned to local country norms, and all employees receive a £1,000 (or local equivalent) annual professional development budget on top of base and equity.

Benefits

  • Equity stake in n8n as part of your total compensation package
  • 30 days of annual leave for European employees, plus local public holidays
  • Health and wellness coverage aligned to UK and European local employment norms (country-specific details provided in your contract)
  • Pension contributions following local country standards
  • £1,000 (or local equivalent) per year for professional development — spend it on courses, certifications, books, events, or coaching
  • Unlimited company-wide AI tools budget for productivity and creative work
  • $100 per month to contribute to open-source projects of your choice
  • Regular hackathons where the team builds with the n8n product
  • Periodic off-sites across Europe for team bonding
  • Full internal transparency on team goals, company direction, and business performance

Location and Work Arrangement

On visa sponsorship: n8n can sponsor work visas for Germany-based positions. For this London role, candidates must already hold the right to work in the UK; UK visa sponsorship is not referenced in the job listing. No relocation assistance is mentioned in the role description.
