Role at a Glance
Hybrid, full-time senior ecommerce role at Dr. Squatch's DTC brand, based in Marina del Rey, CA. Own day-to-day Shopify site operations, end-to-end product launch execution, and cross-team QA. Salary: $80,000–$90,000. Minimum 3 years ecommerce or digital marketing experience required. Reports to the Ecommerce Marketing Manager. Full benefits included.
About the Role
This position is the operational engine of Dr. Squatch's ecommerce team. You'll keep the DTC storefront accurate and high-performing — building out homepage content, landing pages, product detail pages, and promotional messaging — while also driving full-cycle execution of product launches and seasonal campaigns. It's a hands-on, detail-driven role with broad cross-functional exposure: you'll work alongside merchandising, UX, visual design, and front-end engineering teams. Expect to manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously and contribute ideas to roadmap planning and campaign analytics.
About Dr. Squatch
Dr. Squatch develops natural, high-performance personal care products for men, operating primarily through its direct-to-consumer channel while expanding aggressively into national retail and international markets. The company holds a certified B Corp designation earned in 2023 and has been recognized as a Great Place to Work multiple times. Internally, the culture is built around creative ambition, strong ownership norms, urgency, and collaborative humility — values the team describes as being Bold & Innovative, playing to win, and showing up as Team Squatch.
What You'll Own
- Maintain the DTC storefront's accuracy and freshness — homepage content, landing pages, collection pages, product detail pages, navigation, and promotional copy — all managed through the CMS
- Set up and configure discount structures, bundle offers, gift-with-purchase deals, and free shipping rules in Shopify across multiple markets
- Drive product launches from initial setup through go-live: validate product configurations, activate listings, and run end-to-end pre-launch testing
- Track launch timelines, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure all deliverables land before go-live dates
- Execute seasonal campaigns, subscription offers, merchandising refreshes, and promotional rollouts across the ecommerce marketing calendar
- Sync weekly with the Merchandising Manager and Digital Team to align campaign-specific site updates and merchandising priorities
- Collaborate with UX, Visual Design, Product, Lifecycle, Operations, and front-end engineering for smooth, on-schedule launch delivery
- Conduct thorough device-and-browser QA on every site change — pricing, promotions, content, navigation, checkout flow, and customer-facing experience
- Keep product availability messaging in sync with inventory, managing page status (published/drafted) and preparing copy for new SKU introductions and transitions
- Proactively monitor storefront health and resolve merchandising or content issues before they reach customers
- Maintain process documentation, QA checklists, and operational workflows to build team efficiency over time
- Analyze campaign performance data and bring forward concrete optimization recommendations
- Research emerging ecommerce tools and practices, contributing scalable ideas to roadmap and testing planning
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in ecommerce or digital marketing
- Demonstrated experience managing content and merchandising within Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms and product catalog management
- Direct experience configuring Shopify discounts, promotional mechanics, and bundles — including with third-party merchandising apps
- Solid grounding in ecommerce best practices across merchandising, site performance, and user experience
- Strong project management skills: able to juggle multiple priorities and timelines without losing detail
- Exceptional attention to detail and genuine commitment to quality assurance standards
- Clear, effective communicator with a track record of collaboration across functional teams
- Comfort using AI-powered tools such as Claude to handle repetitive or automatable tasks
- Proficiency with project management platforms such as Monday.com or JIRA
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify Headless architecture or the Hydrogen framework
- Working knowledge of Figma and experience participating in design collaboration workflows
Skills Snapshot: Must-Have vs. Nice-to-Have
Shopify is the daily workhorse here — CMS publishing, discount configuration, and multi-market content management are non-negotiable. Project management rigor and QA discipline are equally critical; you're the last line of defense before customers encounter errors. Comfort with AI tools like Claude is a genuine listed requirement, not a soft preference, signaling this team actively automates repetitive work. Figma proficiency and Shopify Headless experience are real accelerators for onboarding speed but won't disqualify strong candidates who lack them. At senior associate level, expect end-to-end execution ownership with minimal oversight.
